INSPIRED FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE & ACHIEVEMENT
In the Parable of the Talent (Mathew 25), Jesus illustrated how the master gave each servant talents according to their abilities. The parable showed that each servant was considered an entrepreneur but with different skillset and Mindset.
“To one he gave five talents [A talent was worth several hundred pounds.] of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey." Mathew 25:15 NIV.
However, the master expected each servant to add value to their talents. So the servant that received the least talent but buried it instead of adding value was rebuked and punished by the master. The same is true for our lives. Your gifting makes you unique, special and valuable to the world. Every one of us was born with unique talent to add value to other people’s life and become successful doing what we were born to do. Sadly, most people die and are buried with their talents.
“A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.’’ Proverbs 18:16
On the other hand, living within your level of convenience in your comfort-zone is a greater threat to your success than any other external factor that you can imagine, because it stops you from reaching your full potential and continuously innovating. If you can overcome the enemy within, the enemy on the outside can do you no harm.
“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, but in so doing you have inadvertently created a dependency mentality, that makes him to depend on your largesse (aka foreign aid) for his survival. Show him how to catch the fish, and he will feed himself and his family, because he has been empowered with a skillset. But teach him how to own the fish pond, he will become wealthy because you have empowered him with an entrepreneural mindset and business mentality. He can now create employment and help others through his fish business. He has now become a high performance personality with the ability to create value, serve more people and in so doing multiply his wealth.
